As a part of a special invitation to attend "Queensland Food Mission to Japan May 2012"
Kay is now off to Japan on 24th of May to attend this function by request of The Queensland Government - Food and Agribusiness - Trade Queensland as they received a number of trade enquiries from Japan for feijoa.
Being a little apprehensive but filled excitement, it is a great opportunity to explore international avenues that may now be available through this Food Mission.
After 11 and half years of building the start of the industry and our own orchard - we have created enough interest to start a growers network in Australia. With this Queensland Food Mission to Japan 2012, Kay is hoping that introduction to the Japanese of the feijoa fruit will create new prospects for future development.
Kay found the Japanese tour very informative, and the locals were excited about the possibilities of aquiring some Feijoa products on availability. More news of this trip coming soon.
